Just working on remixing a ‘Folk’ track written by Hagos. The audio quality of the original recordings is exquisite. The track was delivered with no EQ/compression/effects on the channels in Logic… it’s just well engineered and well recorded material.

The original material uses a lot of organically created sounds and analogue recording techniques which add to the overall vibe. The track is underpinned by an environmental recording which dictates the arrangement.

Currently finding it very difficult not to distress it too much but “Glitch-Folk” instinctively feels like the right thing to do.

Why do I have photos in my iPhone that I haven’t taken? The frightening thing is that we don’t get out much together. Normally my iPhone stays in the studio… I find we are more focused without each other.
